Vermont Wedding Photography

Your wedding is our total focus! I know how important this special day is to you, and that your pictures become valuable memories shared and treasured over the years. All packages include full-day coverage. I don’t rush, limit coverage, charge by the hour, or share my time on the day with anyone else.

I won’t be a stranger. A free engagement portrait is my gift to you. During this session, I discuss the images and style you desire and get a chance to meet and create images in a relaxed setting before the big day.

I mix traditional, formal, and photojournalism coverage telling the story of the entire wedding and the people who share your joy as you enter married life. I will present your images on a custom USB drive that can be used to select images for print or a custom flush-mount album. I provide online proofing and downloading for you and your guests with every wedding.

I love photography, wedding photography most of all. Please call or email to arrange an initial meeting so I can craft coverage that matches your style and desires.

Photojournalistic Wedding Photographer in Vermont

My wedding photography style is a mixture of photojournalism NS documentary-style coverage, creative portraiture, modern editorial detail photography, traditional group portraiture, landscape photography and more! There are many aspects throughout your day that I will capture, and during each moment, I will adapt to any given situation to guarantee you beautiful signature photographs. With over ten years of experience, you can rest assured that I am prepared for any situation you can throw at me!

My editing style is typically classic, crisp, and timeless. Your wedding day should be remembered in 25 years without cringing at fad editing styles or Instagram-like filters! All of your images will be edited featuring my consistent look, one that takes a bit of inspiration from classic historical film stocks such as Kodak Portra 400 and Fuji 400H. I do incorporate some film photography during your day when it is appropriate, however the majority of your day will be captured digitally.

Generations before us took immense in preservation, of their family history. I admit, it’s great to share our on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, and scroll through our photos on our iPhones. But if we don’t take the same care as those who came before us in printing our photos and creating our first family heirlooms, future generations won’t have tangible proof that we lived and loved DEEPLY. They may not have anything at all to sit around the dinner table, pass around, and reminisce over days long gone. It’s likely that we will cease to exist once we are gone if we choose to only keep our imagery soley on a device or screen, because we all know that technology changes oh so quickly!

When you choose to invest in high quality photography, those images deserve a classy, elegant home AFTER the wedding. I believe that it is important to be part of the preservation movement and take just as much care in making sure our story stays alive in our memory as our grandparents did! Having a printed keepsake that tells the visual story of your wedding day is priceless! You will not EVER regret having a wedding album.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you keep in touch with us during the wedding planning process?

Besides planning for your engagement session and wedding day, you may hear from me once or twice to check in. You’ll receive a questionnaire a few months before your wedding that will go over details for your day to help plan out a timeline for photos (I have suggestions for this too!) and I usually check in with a phone call or email (depending on your preference) in the few weeks leading up to your wedding.

How busy are you? What is your availability?

I only book 12-15 weddings per year in order to give my clients the BEST possible experience. Most brides contact me 6-18 months (or more!) in advance of their wedding to reserve there date. I love out of season weddings too!

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, absolutely! All of my packages include travel to anywhere in Vermont. Outside of Vermont may have a small travel fee. I love traveling! I have photographed weddings as far north as Maine and as far south as Florida. Please contact me today for a quote on your wedding!

What about destination weddings?

I LOVE to travel and am available for weddings worldwide!  My passport is up to date and I'm ready to take-off!  For most destination weddings, packages are customized to suit the couple.  Destination weddings include my standard package rate plus any additional travel and accommodations.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I have been photographing weddings since 2006.

Why are you a wedding photographer?

Because I just love LOVE! Weddings are such a fun and exciting day, full of emotions, beauty, joy, and amazing details. I get to photograph the most important day (so far!) of your life, and it is an honor to be entrusted with that job. I greatly enjoy getting to know the couples I work with and celebrating their big day.

Are you flexible with your packages? For instance, what is I don't want an engagement session?

I’m always willing to create custom packages for couples if that better suits your needs. I’ve worked with a lot of couples over the years, so I have a pretty good idea of what works best, but if you need to switch things up, let me know. Based on my experience, most single venue weddings (where the ceremony and reception are taking place at the same location and no travel is required, ie. a vineyard, hotel, golf course, etc) and/or Protestant weddings require 8 hours of photographic coverage. This is my most common length of photographic coverage. Most Catholic weddings that include Mass and/or require more than 30 mins of travel time between locations usually need 9 hours of photographic coverage. I also highly highly recommend engagement sessions whenever possible.  It is the number one way to guarantee you will LOVE your wedding photos.  I promise it's worth it!

Are you insured?

Absolutly! I can provide proof if your venue require it?

What happens after the wedding?

I usually share one of my favorites on my blog and Facebook within a few days of your wedding, so be on the lookout! You’ll see the rest of the photos within 4-6 weeks!

How many images will we receive?

The quantity of photos varies for every wedding based on the length of the day, how many formal photos we take, details included, etc. In general though, you can expect A LOT – usually at least 400, but sometimes quite a bit more!  I typically deliver 75 images per hour of wedding coverage

How do I order after the wedding?

There are two options – you can come visit me in the studio to place an album or print order, or we can do it online. Whichever is easier for you! Family and friends can order directly from your online gallery.

When will my order be ready?

Prints and gallery wraps are ready within 2 weeks. Books, albums, cards and anything requiring design are ready within 6 weeks after design is finalized. Frames are ready within 2-3 weeks. If you need a rush order, please contact me for pricing.

What can I do with digital files?

When you purchase digital files, you will receive a print release, plus printing recommendations. You may print to your hearts content! Digital files are for personal use only; you may not use them for print competitions or for profit. If you post photos online, I ask that you please give me credit whenever possible. Digital files are high resolution files.

May I use files on your website for Facebook or print? Can I make duplicates of prints?

No, this is a violation of copyright law. Screen-grabbing, copying, scanning, or otherwise duplicating images you have not purchased is illegal.
